We Now Support iPad!
PlanbookEdu is very happy to announce an update fixing many of the iPad issues, including the ability to edit entries. There is no need to download an app from the Apple App Store. Simply to go http://planbookedu.com in the Safari browser.
The one big difference is that word processing like editing doesn't work. This means you wont' be able to bold, underline, or add any special formatting to your entries. This is a limitation of the Safari Browser included in the iPad. We hope that a future update from Apple will fix this, but decided not to wait to release this update.
If you create an entry on your computer, then edit it with the iPad you will lose any text formatting.
Otherwise editing works pretty much the same as on your computer. A single tap on any of the boxes will open the quick edit. Or tap the "edit" link to open the full edit box.

PlanbookEdu.com is an online lesson planner that makes it easy for teachers of all grade levels to create, share and print their lesson plans.

Print One Day and Custom Day Titles
We just launched an updated with the two most heavily requested features. You can now print a single day instead of having to print an entire week. Also you can now customize how the day titles appear in your planbook.
Print One Day
Printing a single day is very easy and virtually the same as printing an entire week. From the weekly view look for the calendar icon next to the day header. Clicking that will bring you to a page where you can select how your want to print. The choices are from the browser, to Word or to a PDF.

Custom Day Titles
Up to now you had now option to how the day names were presented. It was always just the day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, ...). Many of you wanted to also include the date along with the day. To change this go to "Planbooks" and then "edit" for your planbook. The option is called "Day Title" and right now there are five choices.

Using today's date as an example here is each of the options:
| Day Name | Saturday |
| Month and Day | Sep 11 |
| Month, Day, and Year | Sep 11, 2010 |
| Day Name, Month and Day | Saturday, Sep 11 |
| Day Name, Month, Day, and Year | Sat, Sep 11, 2010 |
Let Us Know What You Think
Thanks to everyone who emailed us over the last few months requesting these features. Our email volume will be halved now that they are released! Leave us a comment to let us know what you think of these features and keep the requests coming for what you'd like to see next.

Use Last Year's Plan This Year
Many teachers have similar plans from year to year. We wanted to take the hassle out of having to start with a clean planbook each year and give teachers the ability to use an old planbook as a starting point. Now you can take an old planbook and copy it, adjusting all the dates to match your new school year.

Copy and Move Your Plans Around the Week
Making quick adjustments to your plans is now easier than ever. Last year we added the quick edit feature (just double click in any box). This year we've added the ability to drag your plans around the calendar. Simply grab the green arrows with your mouse and drop the plan in a new spot. A menu will appear and you can choose whether to copy or move your entry.
